On Wednesday, September 3, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signed Proclamation 1006, which declares the list of official holidays in the country for 2026.
LIST OF DATES AND DAYS
Holidays have been categorized to three: Regular, Special Non-working, and Special Working.

OTHER DECLARATIONS
For third consecutive year, the commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25, 2026, which also happens to be its 40th anniversary, has been declared a “Special Working Day.”
That is despite the recognition of its historical significance, as it ushered in “political, social, and economic reforms in the country.”
Meanwhile, the official date of observance for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha will be issued after the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been “determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is applicable.“
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) is tasked to recommend to the President the actual dates on which these holidays will respectively fall.
Likewise, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has been directed to issue the implementing guidelines for the proclamation, which takes effect immediately.
