“I can’t move on from all these feelings…”
That is the first line of ‘Seasons,’ the newly-released collaboration single between singer-songwriters JVKE and Maki.
The song is a pop track that talks about wanting to get back with someone after a break-up by picking things back up in the hopes of watching the “second season.”
Aside from English lines, Maki also injected Filipino lyrics into his part, adding an extra layer to the team-up.
‘Seasons’ is part of JVKE’s extended play ‘The Asia Tour: Blooming Season EP,’ with Maki being the sole Filipino act that he collaborated with.
The new song drops ahead of Maki’s first-ever full-length album ‘Kolor Coaster,’ which will come out on September 19, that also carries his chart-topping singles ‘Dilaw,’ ‘Namumula,’ ‘Bughaw,’ and ‘kahel na langit,’ along with additional unreleased music.
Meanwhile, JVKE went viral during the COVID-19 pandemic on social networking site TikTok, thanks to his singles ‘Upside Down’ and ‘Golden Hour’.
