Two of the most sought-after matinee idols of their generation are joining forces for a new series.
During its annual trade event on Thursday, August 14, ABS-CBN officially announced the network’s offerings in the foreseeable future.
One of the titles in the pipeline is the new project top-billed by new gen leading men Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri, who will work together for the first time.
The two Kapamilya stars will be starring in the action-packed Dreamscape Entertainment production ‘Roja,’ with further details kept under wraps at the moment.
The upcoming teleserye will be Donny’s first teleserye without his perennial screen partner Belle Mariano, whom he last worked with in ‘How To Spot a Red Flag’ earlier this year.
Meanwhile, this will be Kyle’s follow-up project after ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ which was also produced by the same production unit.
While this will be their first acting project together, the two are well-known to be good friends, with their circle recently having went out for an outing last month.
During which, the photo of Donny and Kyle with Piolo Pascual, Jake Ejercito, and Esnyr Ranollo became viral on social media.
Aside from that, both actors are also performers in the weekly variety show ‘ASAP’.
