The hit melodrama series is on a roll in the international scene.
In the list of nominees published by the Global OTT Awards, it listed the Filipino series ‘Saving Grace’ as one of its nominees in the Best Asian Contents category.
The show, which premiered first on the streaming platform Prime Video in November 2024, is up against other digital offerings from other services and countries.
In ths same category, it will compete with ‘4°C’ (TV+), ‘The Outlaw Doctor’ (PTS+), ‘Timeless Love Letters for My Classmates’ (Yomiuri), and ‘What If’ (Viu).
Through its social media pages, ABS-CBN production unit Dreamscape Entertainment expressed their gratitude for the latest recognition.
It wrote, “Thank you to the Global OTT Awards for this meaningful recognition. This nomination is a testament to the passion and hard work of every writer, director, actor, and crew member who brought this story to life with heart and purpose.”
“To be recognized alongside Asia’s best is already a tremendous honor,” the group added as it congratulated the team behind the show.
The drama, top-billed by Julia Montes, Sharon Cuneta, and Zia Grace is the 10th adaptation of the Japanese series ‘Mother,’ which was first broadcast by Nippon TV in April 2010 and starred Yasuko Mastuyuki.
Aside from the Global OTT Awards, it also received nods from the ContentAsia Awards and the Seoul International Drama Awards.
