She is coming back to the country as the newly-minted reigning queen.

On Monday, June 9, the new Miss Grand International 2025, CJ Opiaza, will be heading back to the Philippines for a couple of engagements.

First on the table for the 26-year-old’s arrival back to her motherland is a press conference at half-past one in the afternoon (1:30 pm).

That will soon be followed by a grand homecoming parade at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City at 4:00 pm on the same day.

Joining her in this trip back to the Philippines is Miss Grand International owner and president, Thai businessman Nawat Itsaragrisil.

CJ is the very first Miss Grand titleholder from the Philippines.

In the past, Filipina delegates had placed in the competition, such as Samantha Bernardo’s 1st runner-up finish in its inaugural edition and Roberta Tamondong, who was one of the 5th runners-up in 2022.

Opiaza, who originally finished first runner-up in the previous edition in 2024, was conferred the crown last June 3 after the winner, Rachel Gupta from India, renounced after a major disagreement with the MGI Organization.

Both parties have also aired their conflicting sides of their story through public streams online.

CJ’s reign is expected to last until October 2025, by which, a new Miss Grand International would be crowned.
