The “colorful game show” is gearing up for its comeback.
In a teaser that was released on Tuesday, June 3, ABS-CBN officially announced the new season of a weekend quiz show.
“Tanong: Ano itong makulay, masaya, at magbabalik na?“, the preview opened.
It was then revealed that ‘Rainbow Rumble,’ which is hosted by Luis Manzano and comedian Negi, is the one being referred to.
The clip further shared that the program will make its comeback this June 2025, with the premiere date and time slot yet to be revealed.
ABS-CBN Studios and 3nithink Media launched the original format, which is a game that mixes one’s knowledge and luck, in July 2024.
Five contestants compete in the first round by picking one from a board of 50 questions, which can either be the easiest, yet tricky ones, or those that require a little more mind processing.
The players will have to get to the top of pyramid for a chance to play in the jackpot round, where the prize money of Php 1 million is at stake.
In the final round, there will be six “die rolling machines” (or ‘DRM’) and the winning participant must be able to get the unique combination of colors to get the jackpot prize.
To date, there are already 2 grand winners (referred to as ‘Rainbow Rumble Masters’), and they are ABS-CBN News reporter Raphael Bosano and actor Emilio Daez.
The show was last aired in March, when it was temporarily put off air following the vice-gubernatorial bid of Manzano in Batangas in the recent elections.
