Kapamilya singer-actress Maymay Entrata and Kapuso heartthrob Kelvin Miranda have united for the new mini-series on streaming platform Netflix.
Titled ‘Happy Crush,’ it is an 8-episode story that sees Maymay’s character Carla return to her hometown following the death of her mother.
During which, she remembers her first crush and relives her time in high school.
Kelvin portrays the role of Migs, alongside actors Andre Miguel and Zach Castañeda who are also included in the cast as Snow and Ayon.
The program, which is directed and written by Carlo Enciso Datu, DGPI and produced by Anima Studios, ranked first in Netflix’s Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines on Friday, April 25.
Currently, it is also one of the two Filipino dramas on the said list, with ABS-CBN’s teleserye ‘Incognito’ in number 9, as of Saturday, April 26.
Meanwhile, Maymay was tapped by Disney in March to sing the Filipino version of the official soundtrack for ‘Snow White,’ ‘Nasaan Ang Hiling.’ She is also seen in the weekly musical variety show ‘ASAP‘.
As for Kelvin, he will be one of the four new-generation Sang’gres named Adamus in the upcoming GMA telefantasya ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre,’ which will air soon on the Kapuso network.
