The “Saing King” is truly passionate about his job inside the house.
In the episode of ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ last April 8, viewers witnessed the special “boys night out” drinking session of the male housemates.
During the party, Kapamilya star Ralph De Leon decided to go first in sharing his real emotions to his fellow participants.
The 24-year-old actor-athlete said, “Hindi ko nabanggit ‘to nung bagong pasok sina Emilio at Vince, pero I just want to be real with the both of you,” he opened his monologue.
He revealed that he had a hard time “finding his place” again inside the house after the two new male housemates entered the program over a week ago.
“S’yempre, after a few weeks with the same people 24/7, I felt like I had a routine already. There were some roles that were filled by you, guys, that I used to do.“
He then pinpointed Emilio, who had already taken over Ralph’s kitchen chore, specially washing and cooking rice.
“Let’s say sa [pagsasaing], Emilio, s’yempre nag-volunteer ka… So I was like, ‘okay, what now?’,” said Ralph.
Although, the actor-athlete’s main line of thought drew from his past experience with Emilio, whom he auditioned with for a show — with the role eventually being assigned to the latter.
He bluntly shared that that memory has been ingrained in him even after entering the house. Hence, he also took the opportunity to apologize to Emilio for not becoming honest about his true feelings in the past few days.
Emilio then thanked Ralph for being honest, and hoped that they will be able to talk about their issues on a personal level outside the program in the future, with the moment ending with a hug.
Spliced clips of Ralph’s “saing” remarks have gained virality online, with one even embedding Cup of Joe’s popular single ‘Multo’ as the background music.
Comments about the moment were mixed, with many amused by the 24-year-old housemate’s “relationship” with the rice cooker, while some have also expressed that they understood his feelings.
Ralph De Leon was a former varsity of the Ateneo de Manila University in judoka. He then made his transition to showbusiness, where he first made waves as a model.
The Kapamilya star then made his mainstream debut after bagging roles in the 2024 youth-oriented series ‘Zoomers’ and the mystery drama ‘High Street.’
