She is back with her second extended play.
On Monday, March 10, Korean idol Seulgi of Red Velvet dropped her sophomore mini-album, ‘Accidentally On Purpose.’
The new EP features six tracks, with ‘Baby, Not Baby’ listed as its carrier single.
The music video for the lead track was released concurrent to the rest of the extended play at 6:00 pm (Korean time) and, as of writing, has already garnered over 330,000 views.
Also included in the 31-year-old’s new EP are the songs ‘Better Dayz,’ ‘Rollin’ (With My Homies),’ ‘Whatever,’ ‘Praying,’ and ‘Weakness.’
‘Accidentally On Purpose’ also marks Seulgi’s first solo comeback since “28 Reasons” in 2022.
Seulgi made her debut, along with Irene, Wendy, and Joy, as part of Red Velvet in 2014 with the song ‘Happiness,’ which was later followed by their rendition of the song ‘Be Natural’ of their senior group S.E.S.
In 2015, in time for the release of ‘Ice Cream Cake,’ they formally introduced Yeri as the group’s fifth member.
They went on to drop more hit singles in the following years, such as ‘Dumb Dumb,’ ‘Russian Roulette,’ ‘Rookie,’ ‘Red Flavor,’ ‘Peek-A-Boo,’ ‘Bad Boy,’ ‘Power Up,’ ‘Zimzalabim,’ ‘Umpah Umpah,’ ‘Psycho,’ ‘Queendom,’ ‘Feel My Rhythm,’ and ‘Chill Kill,’ among many others.
Aside from being a soloist, Seulgi is also part of a sub-unit with fellow member Irene, Irene and Seulgi, known for the tracks ‘Monster’ and ‘Naughty’.
