‘Sine Mo ‘To’ makes comeback on ‘It’s Showtime’

An iconic segment of the popular noontime show has made its return.

An iconic segment of the popular noontime show has made its return.

On Tuesday, March 4, ABS-CBN’s top-rating variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ revived one of its classic segments, ‘Sine Mo ‘To,’ the improv comedy portion from its earlier years.

According to main host Vice Ganda, the revival of the ‘SMT’ happened after ‘Madlang People’ demanded for its return following the spontaneous, yet chaotic moment on the program last Monday, March 3.

The said episode featured Vice and company evading a “fun-ishment” during the ‘Ansabe’ segment, which led them to making a tour around the ABS-CBN compound, riding Belle Mariano’s van, and a visit to the ‘ASAP’ studio nearby.

Moreover, there was also a new segment that was supposedly set to premiere as a replacement for ‘Showtime Sexy Babe,’ which culminated with its ‘Sexiest Finale’ last Saturday, March 1.

However, due to undisclosed reasons, Vice said, the plans were changed, paving the way for the return of ‘Sine Mo ‘To.’

For its comeback, the first story to be featured is the ‘Soafer Latina: Ang Bagong Superhero,’ which sees the entire ‘Showtime’ cast portray various characters in the sketch.

‘Sine Mo ‘To’ was one of the segments launched by the longest-running Kapamilya noontime show during its debut on the said slot in February 2012.

It ran continuously for over three years until 2015, and later got a brief revival as part of ‘It’s Showtime’s’ 10th anniversary in 2019.
