The network has made their own web-based platform for their original productions.
On Monday, March 3, TV5 Network officially unveiled their own digital service on YouTube. Initially called Kapatid Online Live, the channel has been renamed Kapatid Livestream (KLS) effective March 4.
The said online channel broadcasts original productions of the network from 11:00 am until the evening, with the initial weekday slate composed of ‘Ang Himala Ni Niño,’ ‘Eat Bulaga,’ ‘Frontline Express,’ ‘Face To Face Harapan,’ ‘Wil To Win,’ ‘Frontline Pilipinas,’ and replays of old and current shows in between.
Meanwhile, the lineup for the weekend also draws upon the existing programming of TV5, with ‘Eat Bulaga,’ ‘Frontline Pilipinas Weekend,’ and ‘Top 5 Mga Kwentong Marc Logan’ offering fresh episodes.
At present, it is not yet known when or whether would the station’s marquee shows like ‘Gud Morning Kapatid,’ ‘Sing Galing,’ and ‘Be The 9: Next Dreamers’ would become available on Kapatid Livestream.
The launch of the web-based channel comes more less than a year after TV5 launched their live streaming and catch-up service called ‘Kapatid Online’ for their shows on Facebook and YouTube.
However, in contrast to KLS, programs were streamed independent of one another.
Aside from TV5, other Philippine networks have already jumped into the creation of such product, led by the pioneering Kapamilya Online Live by ABS-CBN in 2020 and GMA’s Kapuso Stream in 2022.
