It will be the newest player in the market.
Delivery platform Lalamove will expand its network as it is set to launch its ride-hailing service Lalamove Ride this February.
“It’s an exciting time, especially for partner drivers, since we’re anticipating a strong demand,” said Djon Nacario, Managing Director at Lalamove Philippines
He also added that the company sees 15,000 drivers onboarding the fledgling service by June 2025, promising that they “will deliver the same for on-demand transportation to allow Lalamove users to get to where they need to faster and with greater ease.”
Lalamove riders will be able to accept delivery and ride-hailing services, although would not be able to do the same simulataneously.
At launch, the service will only be available for users in the Greater Manila Area, Pampanga, and Cebu.
“There may be a lot of competition in the ride-hailing scene, but it’s undeniable that many people have been clamoring for Lalamove to expand its services to ride-hailing even before the pandemic given the convenience and affordability we offer,” Nacario said.
