The OPM band has proven that the local music scene is alive and kicking.

On February 8 and 9, 2025, Filipino band Cup Of Joe holds their sold-out two-night concert, titled ‘Silakbo,’ at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

This is the first leg of their tour, which will be eventually brought to ‘Joewahs‘ (the band’s fandom) in Davao City on March 22 and Cebu City on March 29.

The name ‘Silakbo’ comes from their recent album, which was released in January 2025.

“We poured our hearts and souls into Silakbo, and it’s a reflection of not just the emotions we’ve been through but also those of our listeners,” band vocalist Rapha said.

As for Gian, another vocalist, “Having the opportunity to connect with our fans through this album and these concerts feels like a dream come true.”

Cup of Joe was formed in Baguio City in 2018, with the debut taking place a year later, in 2019.

The band gained following with the release of their extended play ‘Patutunguhan,’ which carried the songs ‘Tingin’ featuring Janine Teñoso, ‘Tataya,’ and ‘Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko.’

In 2024, they dropped the song ‘Misteryoso,’ the music video of featured Jhoanna Robles, the leader of breakthrough P-pop group BINI.
