Fans might see the stars in one frame again in the future.
During a recent press conference, actress Liza Soberano teased a possible reunion project with Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil.
“We are trying to come up with a concept we can do together,” Soberano said without disclosing additional details about the material.
She continued, “In the future. I cannot guarantee it is in the next year, the concept needs to be fleshed out. It is something new.”
Liza’s statement comes three months after Enrique shared his excitement about the prospect of teaming-up with her once again.
“We were talking the other day and sabi niya she is really interested in my other project, the horror,” Gil was quoted saying back then.
The actor, who has also expanded his horizons as a producer, furthered that he is looking to collaborate with Soberano’s production company based in the United States.
Liza and Enrique, also known as the love team LizQuen, were paired together for the 2014 primetime teleserye ‘Forevermore,’ which posted high viewership during its run.
Due to its success, they were later given multiple follow-up projects, such as serials ‘Dolce Amore’ and ‘Bagani,’ and the movies ‘Just The Way You Are’ and ‘My Ex and Whys.’
Their last work together was the ABS-CBN drama ‘Make It With You,’ which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the network’s shutdown in 2020.
Since then, they have concentrated on their individual careers.
Liza went to Hollywood, starring as Taffy in ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ that was released in 2024.
Meanwhile, Enrique made the movies ‘I Am Not Big Bird’ and the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry ‘Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital’ that same year.
