In a social media post, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) shared the shortlisted countries where the upcoming 74th Miss Universe pageant could be held.
Among the list is the Philippines, who could possibly become the host anew after 8 years, as it last hosted the 2016 edition back in January 2017.
Also in contention are the Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, and our Southeast Asian neighbor Thailand.
Miss Universe held its 73rd edition in Mexico City in November 2024, where it crowned Victoria Kjaer Theilvig from Denmark as its first queen from the European country.
Meanwhile, Filipina bet Chelsea Manalo was later named as the first Miss Universe Asia after the competition.
