Almost two years since his passing.
On Sunday, January 26, Astro member Moonbin, who passed away at the age of 25 in April 2023, would have turned 27 years old.
In commemoration for his birth anniversary, his fellow bandmates have shared their tributes dedicated to him.
Cha Eunwoo and Yoon Sanha uploaded their respective covers online.
Eunwoo performed Shin Seung Hoon’s song ‘For a Long Time Afterwards,’ where he greeted his bestfriend with a short “Happy Moonbin Day” message at the end of the video.
Over at the ASTRO channel, Sanha shared his cover of Roy Kim’s ‘When Spring Comes.’
The two members also uploaded their respective photos with the late bandmate on their indovidual social media accounts.
MJ and Jinjin, who are Bin’s “hyungs” or older brothers in ASTRO, also shared their own messages for him.
Moonbin began his career in the entertainment industry in his childhood when he made appearances in TVXQ’s music video ‘Balloons’ in 2006 and hit Korean drama series ‘Boys Over Flowers’.
He then made his debut as a K-pop idol in 2016 with ASTRO, where he also became a member of the group’s sub-unit Moonbin&Sanha with Yoon Sanha when that was launched in September 2020.
In 2023, the duo embarked on a tour titled ‘Diffusion,’ which was also held in Manila on the 24th of March that year.
However, a month later on April 19, 2023, Moonbin passed away at the age of 25.
