On Thursday, January 23, ABS-CBN’s long-running primetime action-drama series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ reached a new milestone.
During the episode, titled ‘Galit Ng Puso,’ viewers witnessed the face-off between Tanggol (Coco Martin) and Rigor (John Estrada), a few days after the former discovered that latter is not his biological father.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with more revelations underway now that Tanggol got the name of his real father, who is Ramon Montenegro (Christopher de Leon), from his mother Marites (Cherry Pie Picache).
The showdown glued viewers, and achieved a new all-time-high peak live concurrent viewership for the program on the Kapamilya Online Live platform.
As per producer Dreamscape Entertainment, it garnered 803,123 views — besting its previous record of over 770,000 live views.
The January 23, 2025 episode is also the most-viewed weekday program in KOL’s history, as well as the second most-watched episode — just behind the finale of ‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ in October 2024 that achieved 2.2 million live views.
