The mega-blockbuster flick is heading to the platform soon.

Through its ‘Coming Soon’ tab, streaming service Netflix announced that Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ ‘Hello, Love, Again’ will be part of its content library soon.

The ‘highest-grossing Filipino movie of all-time’ will become available to users on Valentine’s Day eve, February 13.

First revealed in early 2024, the sequel to the highly-successful 2019 movie ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ was able to create multiple records of its own.

Foremost, it is the first film in Philippine cinema’s 105-year-long history to have recorded Php 1 billion in ticket sales.

The reunion movie has also been able to claim other titles, such as for the highest opening day for any local film at Php 85 million on day 1; the highest single-day gross, when it logged Php 131 million on November 16; and the most-successful Filipino film in the US Box Office after becoming the Top 8 movie in the region during its first weekend.

It was also reported to have achieved the Highest Opening Day and Biggest Single Day gross in the region, as well as the Highest Opening Weekend Gross for a Filipino film in the UAE, KSA, and Qatar.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, ‘Hello, Love, Again’ will see Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ reprisal of their respective roles as Joy (or Marie, rather) and Ethan from ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye.’

The movie’s main setting has also been moved to Canada, with events happening five years after the story of the first movie that was shot in Hong Kong.

Also part of the sequel film’s cast are Joross Gamboa, Valerie Concepcion, Jennica Garcia, Jameson Blake, Jeffrey Tam, and Lovely Abella.

‘Hello, Love, Again’ also marked the first movie collaboration of Star Cinema and GMA Pictures, becoming the latest in the slate of joint ventures between rivals-turned-partners ABS-CBN and GMA Network.

Some of the projects they have worked on together are the primetime series ‘Unbreak My Heart’ and the free-to-air broadcast of longest-running ABS-CBN noontime program ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV, and later, GMA-7.
