The network will deliver yet again another coverage of the important occasion in our nation’s democracy.
On Tuesday, January 14, ABS-CBN, represented by its Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Head of Integrated News Francis Toral, led the covenant signing for the upcoming ‘Halalan 2025’ election coverage.
The Kapamilya network joined forces with various socio-civic groups, government agencies, universities, and other partners, to deliver its coverage and other initiatives.
Unveiled during the event were the dedicated Halalan 2025 microsite, and other programs like the interview series ‘Harapan 2025,’ the local politics-centered ‘Biyaheng City Hall,’ and the marathon coverage on May 12 — which will air on Kapamilya Channel, ANC, and A2Z on TV, as well as stream online.
ABS-CBN News also showed a special clip that features the division’s anchors, reporters, crew, and editorial staffers.
The nearly-two-minute-long video also made use of the network’s 2010 election ident jingle ‘Ako Ang Simula,’ while the visuals in the video were similar to the 2013 midterm elections coverage.
The upcoming 2025 midterm polls will see 68 million voters across the archipelago flock to voting precincts to elect new officials in the Senate down to their municipal or city council members.
Last Sunday, January 12, the election period had already begun, with the nationwide gun ban having been implemented, and will last until June 11, 2025.
