The event was also simultaneously held in multiple sites across the country.

On Monday, January 13, a massive rally was organized by religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the City of Manila.

According to the estimated crowd attendance figure given by authorities, at least 1.5 million people joined the ‘National Rally For Peace’ at the Quirino Grandstand alone.

12 other sites were set up around the Philippines, including in the provinces of Ilocos Sur, Albay, Cebu, and Davao.

The event supports the earlier pronouncement of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., who did not support the impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Sara Duterte.

The second-in-line is facing scrutiny over her use of confidential funds, as well as the alleged threat that she launched against President Marcos, First Lady Liza Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez last November — which is still under investigation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
