‘JakBie’ no more, the actress confirmed the news in an online post.

On Thursday, January 2, Kapuso star Barbie Forteza uploaded on her personal Instagram account a post announcing the end of her romantic relationship with actor-businessman Jak Roberto.

In her caption to the series of photos she shared a quote from Dr. Seuss, which read: “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”

In a message directed to Jak, Barbie described his existence in her life for the past seven years was “the happiest” she had ever been.

“A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love,” and an “exceptional” love was what she experienced with him.

“But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together,” Forteza wrote before bidding a “beautiful goodbye” to Roberto.

“Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” she continued.

Meanwhile, Barbie hopes for their fans’ understanding and wished that they help them put this matter to rest.

At the moment, Jak has not yet issued any statement regarding the break-up.

Barbie and Jak, also known as ‘JakBie,’ first starred together in the GMA romantic-comedy series ‘Meant To Be’ in 2017, later developing an off-screen romance after the show ended.

They would later reunite on TV via ‘Kara Mia’ and an installement of ‘Wagas’ in 2019, and became part of ‘Heartful Café’ with David Licauco and Julie Anne San Jose in 2021.
