Nearly five months after the official break-up of their pairing.
Thai actors Ohm Pawat Chitsawangdee and Nanon Korapat Kirdpan, formerly known as the boys love (BL) duo OhmNanon, became a hot topic on social media once more.
This time, fans were equally stunned and delighted to see the two stars interact publicly for the first time in awhile during the recent ‘Starlympics 2024’ organized by their mother studio GMMTV.
In the football match, the ex-BL pair were part of opposing teams, with Ohm part of the Lightning Cheetah group, while Nanon was the goalie for the Shadow Eagle squad.
In videos uploaded on social media, the entire arena erupted in cheers upon seeing the two together, and at one point, Nanon even assisted Ohm after the latter slipped.
Additionally, their fellow GMMTV actors like Gemini Norawit and Book Kasidet were also caught on camera reacting to the OhmNanon interaction.
Ohm Pawat and Nanon Korapat topbilled the highly popular 2021 boys love series ‘Bad Buddy,’ where they portrayed the characters Pat and Pran, respectively.
They also reprised these roles in the drama anthology ‘Our Skyy 2’ in 2022, and even held a fan meeting event in Manila together earlier in 2023.
Although, in October 2023, amidst speculations regarding the future of their pairing, the GMMTV official merchandise shop reportedly removed OhmNanon from the list of official couples.
This was also followed by separate cryptic posts from the stars, further fuelling the speculations.
During the GMMTV 2023 upfront presentation, Ohm was announced to be part of ‘Kidnap: The Series,’ where he co-stars with his new on-screen partner Lengso Thanapon.
As for Nanon, he is set to star as one of the princes in the upcoming Thai adaptation of ‘Scarlet Heart’ with Tu Tontawan and Win Metawin, among many others.
The pairing’s fate was sealed after a statement released by GMMTV last July, where it delivered the parting of Ohm and Nanon’s paths.
“Following Ohm Pawat Chitsawangdee and Nanon Korapat Kirdpan’s mutual decision to cease their work as a pair some time ago to focus on their individual career paths, GMMTV, Ohm, and Nanon now share the sentiment to officially announce this decision,” the company statement read.
