The flag carrier continues to expand the network of its hub in Central Luzon.
On Tuesday, November 3, Philippine Airlines (PAL) relaunched its flight route between Clark International Airport (CRK) and Siargao’s Sayak Airport (IAO).
The tri-weekly service connects passengers in North and Central Luzon to the country’s surfing capital in Mindanao.
“As Siargao’s popularity soars, we stay committed to supporting the island’s tourism growth in a sustainable way for the benefit of its residents and local businesses, while providing an enhanced flying experience for our passengers,” PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang said.
As for Noel Manankik, the President and CEO of LIPAD Corporation, “Siargao enthusiasts can anticipate beginning their island getaway immediately upon arrival at Clark International Airport, where we practice stringent performance measures and monitoring to ensure fast airport processes and a seamless experience for all passengers.”
LIPAD is the consortium handling the operations of Clark International Airport.
PAL will utilize its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft for this tri-weekly service between Clark and Siargao.
The outbound Clark-Siargao flight, with the code PR 2875, is scheduled to depart CRK every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:00 am, with the estimated arrival time in Siargao at 1:05 pm.
For return Siargao-Clark flight PR 2876, it is scheduled to leave IAO every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1:35 pm, and will land in Clark at 3:40 pm.
The newly-relaunched route is the latest additions in the airline’s Clark hub, which has daily flights to Cebu, four weekly flights each to Basco and Coron, and tri-weekly flights to Caticlan.
Despite this development, PAL’s twice daily flight to Siargao from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) remains in operation.
