He is going to perform his chart-topping songs live in front of his fans.
Original Filipino Music (OPM) singer Maki will be kicking off his two-night ‘Maki-Concert’ on Friday, November 29.
Originally scheduled as a one-night-only event, it will take place at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
The addition of a second night, set for Saturday, November 30 at the same venue, comes after the success of the ticket selling for the first night — which was declared sold out in less than a day.
Guest performers for the Manila shows are Ebe Dancel, Johnoy Danao, Sitti, Nameless Kids, Angela Ken, and Cesca.
Meanwhile, Maki’s fans around the country will also have to chance to catch him in the upcoming regional ‘Maki-Concert’ shows beginning January.
The first leg of the regional tour will happen in Cebu province, where he is slated to perform on January 11, 2025.
This will be followed by the Baguio concert on January 24, 2025, before the Cagayan de Oro event on February 22, 2025.
Aside from the three confirmed stops, Tarsier Records also teased that there is “more” to come.
Maki went viral on social media in 2023, thanks to his Filipino or English translations of popular Korean pop songs like NewJeans’ ‘Ditto’ and ‘Super Shy,’ and IVE’s ‘After Like.’
He then went on to release his original song ‘Saan?’, which was later followed by ‘Bakit?’ and ‘Kailan?’.
Last May 2024, Maki dropped the viral song ‘Dilaw,’ where he featured Bini member Maloi Ricalde in the music video for the song.
Through the song, he became the first OPM artist to make it to the top of the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart when it was launched in July 2024.
Last August, Maki released his latest single titled ‘Namumula,’ which is also the official theme song of the DonBelle series ‘How To Spot A Red Flag’ on Viu.
The singer was also chosen to interpret the Philpop Himig Handog entry titled ‘Kurba.’
