Spoiler alert: it is the longest Christmas ident that the network has ever produced.

On Monday, November 18, TV5 premiered its Christmas station ID titled ‘Hatid-saya Ang Paskong Kapatid.’

This year’s jingle was composed, arranged, produced, and co-written by musician Jungee Marcelo, and lyrics by Lory Alba, Katrina Lagman, and Dia Pulido.

Featured in the 10-minute-long video are the news, entertainment, and sports personalities of the network, as well as stars of ABS-CBN Studios shows that air on TV5.

The list is led by the ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the rest of their “Dabarkads” co-hosts, ‘Wil To Win’ main man Willie Revillame, Korina Sanchez of ‘Face To Face: Harapan’ and ‘Rated Korina,’ ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ anchors Cheryl Cosim, Julius Babao, and Jiggy Manicad, and ‘Gud Morning Kapatid’ gang of Ted Failon, Dimples Romana, Andrei Felix, DJ Chacha, and Angela Lagunzad, as well as Maja Salvador who was last seen in the program ‘Emojination.’

Also present in the 2024 Kapatid Christmas ident are Kapamilya artists Coco Martin for ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ Maricel Soriano, Jodi Sta. Maria, Jericho Rosales, Janine Gutierrez for ‘Lavender Fields,’ and Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano for ‘ASAP.’

Piolo Pascual of the recently-concluded ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ Bianca Gonzalez, Melai Cantiveros, Robi Domingo, Enchong Dee, and Alexa Ilacad of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ also participated in ‘Hatid-saya Ang Paskong Kapatid.’

TV5 original dramas ‘Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa’ starring Kiko Estrada and Gardo Versoza, and ‘Ang Himala Ni Niño’ topbilled by child actor Zyon Cruz and also stars Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Best Actor winner Cedrick Juan.

Given their spotlight in ident are artists of Mediaquest’s talent management group MQAA, with the likes of former ‘Wil To Win’ co-host Ana Ramsey.

Premier Volleyball League (PVL) and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players were also in the video.

‘Hatid-saya Ang Paskong Kapatid’ is a departure for many norms in TV5’s station idents, as for the first time, the network has produced a 10-minute-long presentation — as it usually did less than 5 minutes in recent years.

Aside from that, it also expanded the narrative in the video, as well as highlighted several brands of their top advertisers like Unilever and Procter and Gamble (P&G).

TV5’s 2024 Christmas station ID is the second to be released this season, as GMA already launched theirs titled ‘Ganito ang Paskong Pinoy, Puno ng Pasasalamat’ last November 11.

Meanwhile, TV5’s content partner ABS-CBN is scheduled to unveil the Kapamilya Christmas ID ‘Our Stories Shine This Christmas’ on December 2.
