She is one of the four “continental queens” of the pageant.
During a post-event conference, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) conferred titles to 4 delegates from the different regions of the world.
Our very own Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo was bestowed Miss Universe Asia, with Matilda Wirtavuori of Finland handed the Miss Universe Europe and Middle East, 1st runner-up Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria is Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, and Peruvian queen Tatiana Calmell awarded Miss Universe Americas
The common assignment for these four queens is to become spokespeople to issues and advocacies and engage in cultural exchanges in their respective continents.
Aside from those tasks, they will also be accompanying the reigning Miss Universe 2024, Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, as she travels the the world for various engagements and a TV program produced by the MUO.
On Sunday, November 17 (Manila time), 126 candidates from all over the world competed in the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe competition held in Mexico City, Mexico.
Chelsea Manalo was able to make it to the semifinals when she was chosen to become part of the Top 30 candidates that proceeded to the swimsuit round, where she showcased her ‘Tampisaw Walk.’
But after the segment, Manalo failed to make it to the list of Top 12 contestants that advanced to the evening gown competition.
