The biggest annual beauty pageant in the world, or the universe rather, is back for its 73rd edition.
On Sunday, November 17 (Manila time), the Miss Universe 2024 will take place at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ largest content provider, will deliver moments as they happen from the central American country direct to viewers in the Philippines.
Free TV network A2Z, along with the Kapamilya Channel and Metro Channel on cable and satellite, will broadcast the pageant live on television starting at 9:00 am.
For those who will miss the telecast in the morning, a same-day catch-up replay will air on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Live streaming of the Miss Universe 2024 pageant will also be made exclusively available through iWantTFC platform in the Philippines.
This edition of the Miss Universe pageant will mark the fifth time that ABS-CBN has carried the “most beautiful day in the universe” since its broadcast shutdown, franchise denial, and eventual transformation as a content production and distribution company in 2020.
This edition will see the largest delegation in the pageant’s history, with 126 candidates from all over the world competing to become the successor of reigning Miss Universe 2023, Nicaraguan queen Sheynnis Palacios.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo, who hails from the province of Bulacan, will represent the country and vie for the nation’s fifth crown.
She aims to follow the footsteps of Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
During the last edition, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee finished in the Top 10 of the 72nd competition.
