‘Queen Cat’ will be present anew during the upcoming edition of the pageant.
Catriona Gray, our very own Miss Universe 2018, is set to fly out to Mexico City, Mexico in the lead-up to the upcoming 73rd edition of the pageant that will take place on November 17, 2024 (Manila time).
The beauty queen shared that not only would she be there to support our reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo, but she is set to become part of the presenting team for the third consecutive edition.
“I will be in Mexico, [the] second week [of November], to support our own Chelsea Manalo, and also to serve as a commentator once again,” Gray said during a recent conference.
She then expressed her gratitude to the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) for entrusting her with the role that she described as “different” from her experience as the country’s representative and eventual winner.
Catriona Gray first served as the behind-the-scenes commentator during the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA back in January 2023.
She reprised her duties when it was brought south to El Salvador in central America for the 72nd pageant in November 2023.
This year, a new show format is expected to be introduced by the Miss Universe Organization. A total of 130 delegates, the most in its seven-decade-long history, will also be competing for the crown.
