The Kapuso actress-singer has formally charged the comedian over an incident that occurred in September.
On Wednesday, October 30, GMA artist Rita Daniela appeared before the Office of the Prosecutor in Bacoor City, Cavite to file her act of lasciviousness complaint versus fellow Kapuso star Archie Alemania.
In her affidavit, Daniela detailed that the incident began after a get-together with the staff and artists of the ongoing primetime drama series ‘Widows’ War,’ where the two have co-starred, on September 9.
Prior to which, an already drunk Alemania made obscene remarks towards the actress. But, some people present at the gathering, including lead actress Bea Alonzo, were quick to stop him from further making such comments.
After the party, Alemania saw Daniela anew and offered her a ride home. The latter acquiesced, which she explained in her affidavit was driven by her thought that the actor had already “sobered up.”
On the way home, Archie allegedly began inappropriately touching Rita on her neck and shoulder, but the actress removed her hand and said, “Kuya, huwag. Kuya kita.”
Once they have arrived in front of her house, the actress was already leaving the car, the actress’ hand was held back by the actor who was asking her to give him a kiss.
Rita responded by saying that she knew his wife, but Archie proceeded with forcing himself on to her without consent.
According to the affidavit, Alemania forcibly kissed her and groped her breast as she shouted at him to stop. Daniela told that she was able to push him back with all her strength and left the car while crying.
After the incident, a screenshot of the message Alemania sent to Daniela was attached, where the actor sent his apologies to the co-star over what happened, and said that he was drunk.
The actor has so far not issued any formal statement regarding the case.
For their part, meanwhile, Sparkle GMA Artist Center said that they “… have listened to both sides of the story over the past weeks. We believe this matter should be addressed in the proper forum, and we encourage both parties to engage in dialogue to resolve this issue fairly.”
GMA Network, which produces ‘Widows’ War,’ has also confirmed that Archie Alemania, who plays the supporting role as a detective named Marcus Trano, has been removed and written off the program.
Rita Daniela, who portrays Rebecca Palacios, has not been seen in the past few weeks as her character was brought to a mental facility in the story. It is not yet known whether she will appear again in the series.
