Months after the closure of his former news network.
Veteran broadcast journalist Rico Hizon is returning TV screens soon, as he is set to host a new program on a new channel.
Titled ‘Beyond The Exchange,’ the program will be Hizon’s first show with the ANC or the ABS-CBN News Channel and is slated to make its premiere on Tuesday, November 5, at 6:00 pm.
In the program, he will be having conversations with various personalities, including celebrities, industry icons, and entrepreneurs.
Some of those seen in the program trailer are singer Jose Mari Chan, and ‘It’s Showtime’ host Karylle Tatlonghari.
‘Beyond The Exchange’ marks Rico Hizon’s television comeback after being previously associated with CNN Philippines, which was closed down in January 2024.
While with his former home station, he was able to host the award-winning nightly news and talk program ‘The Final Word’ and the weekly business news show ‘The Exchange,’ where the new program title presumably references.
Hizon, who had also been a face of global news media giants BBC World News and CNBC Asia, after the CNN Philippines closure had briefly left broadcasting altogether and joined SM Investments Corporation as its senior vice president for corporate relations in May 2024.
