Like other groups, ‘Team JJC’ shared their advocacy during their performance.

On Friday, October 25, the last day of the fifteenth ‘Magpasikat’ edition of ABS-CBN’s noontime program ‘It’s Showtime’ happened with hosts Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez presenting their act.

The team started their segment with the three hosts performing a series of interpretative dance numbers to the song ‘Ako Naman Muna’ by singer Angela Ken, which speaks of taking a break, breathe, and prioritize one’s mental health.

That encapsulated the central theme of their presentation, which also featured Kapuso stars Rochelle Pangilinan and Kokoy de Santos, and popular online influencer Niana Guerrero.

Jhong also had a special father-daughter segment with his three-year-old daughter, Sarina Hilario.

Team JJC also dedicated a segment for celebrities and advocates to share their personal bouts with issues concerning their mental well-being.

Miss Universe 2023 finalist Michelle Dee, Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, Sofia Andres, Maxene Magalona, Louise delos Reyes, and ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ judge Jed Madela were some of the figures that lent their voices.

After the act, Jhong shared that he had designed his team’s ‘Magpasikat’ presentation this year to be a showcase of the talents and skills of co-hosts Jackie Gonzaga and Cianne Dominguez.

The two female hosts had been subjected to hateful comments online, primarily with regards to their roles in the program.

Contradicting the comments online, Jhong said “[hindi] sila palamuti rito,” before Jackie and Cianne emotionally shared the challenges of being in the receiving end of online bashing.

The ‘Magpasikat’ anniversary special began in 2010 as a way for the hosts of ‘It’s Showtime’ to express their talents and deliver spectacles for the ‘Madlang People.’

The 2024 edition is particularly historic for the program, as it is also the first time that the noontime show is celebrating the milestone on GMA-7.

‘Showtime’ began airing on the Kapuso network’s main channel in April 2024, more than nine months since it began airing on the secondary channel GTV.

Although, apart from the network, it is also available on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and ALLTV, on top of the digital platforms Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC.

The ‘Magpasikat’ champion and runners-up for its fifteenth edition this year will be named on Saturday, October 26, with the cash prizes of the winning teams being allocated to their chosen beneficiaries.

Serving as judges this year are former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia, director Rory Quintos, Kapamilya leading man Donny Pangilinan, and Kapuso stars Alice Dixson and Gabbi Garcia.
