The two musicians have delivered a new pop single.
On Friday, October 18, K-pop superstar Rosé of Blackpink and Filipino-American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars officially released their collaboration.
Titled ‘Apt.,’ Rosé confirmed that the playful song is inspired by a popular drinking game in South Korea and Bruno joked about it in his Instagram post in the lead-up to the song’s release.
In his caption, he wrote: “So this was me hanging on for dear life after [Rosé] introduced me to this Korean drinking game and got me saucy.”
“Soon after, she tried to kiss me, and I was like “woah Rosie! what part of the game is this?” She was like, “I ain’t playin games wit you anymore lil boy! Big Rosie bout that BIDNESS!” Shaken, I replied “stop Rosie, I’m scared!” But other than that, super chill night,” he added.
In the comments section, the Blackpink member was seen lightly responding to that with “what’s wrong with uuuu.”
More than a day after its upload onto video-sharing platform YouTube, the music video featuring the two musicians have surpassed 39 million views and leads the Trending Music videos chart in the Philippines, as of press time.
‘Apt.’ is one of the 12 tracks that will be part of Rosé’s upcoming solo debut album ‘rosie,’ which is scheduled to be dropped on December 6, 2024.
Meanwhile, for Bruno Mars, it is his newest collaboration after the monster hit single ‘Die With A Smile’ that he sang with Lady Gaga.
