Korean pop superstar Kim Seok-jin, popular known as Jin of the boy band BTS, is set to finally make his debut as a soloist next month.
He is scheduled to drop his first album titled ‘Happy’ on Friday, November 15, 2024, the group’s label BigHit Music confirmed in a schedule posted on social media.
From Thursday evening (Manila time), concept photos, teasers, and other promotional materials will be made available.
Meanwhile, a still-untitled pre-album release single is set to be published next Friday, October 25.
‘Happy’ will consist of six tracks, with Red Velvet member Wendy already confirmed to be featuring in one of the songs according to both BigHit Music and SM Entertainment.
Through the said album, all BTS members would finally become certified soloists, as Jin is the last member of the internationally-acclaimed K-pop group to do so.
Although, in the past, Jin had already dabbled into doing his solo music projects, such as with ‘The Astronaut’ and ‘Super Tuna,’ which he recently re-recorded with an extended version.
He, along with the other six members of BTS, debuted in June 2013 and went on to become a juggernaut in the industry, thanks to their multiple hits like ‘I Need U,’ ‘Dope,’ ‘Blood, Sweat, Tears,’ ‘Spring Day,’ ‘DNA,’ ‘FAKE LOVE,’ ‘Boy With Luv,’ ‘Dynamite,’ and ‘Permission To Dance,’ among others.
In 2022, Jin became the first member to fulfill his mandatory military service, which lasted until June 2024.
After which, Jin was tapped as one of the 11,000 torchbearers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games last July.
