He is finally back in the limelight after a year.
On Thursday, September 19, South Korean actor-model Nam Joo Hyuk was officially discharged from the country’s mandatory military service.
Nam enlisted in the program in March 2023 and was conscripted to serve as part of the military police squad.
During his last day, fans gathered outside the camp to greet him for his completion of his 18-month-long duty.
Nam Joo Hyuk started out as a runway model before shifting into acting by starring in the series ‘The Idle Mermaid’ in 2014.
After which, he was casted as the second lead in ‘Who Are You?: School 2015,’ together with Kim So Hyun and Yook Sung Jae.
He achieved his major breakthrough in 2016 when he protrayed the male lead character Jung Joon Hyung in ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ and 13th Prince Baek-ah in ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.’
Nam Joo Hyuk furthered his leading man status after starring in ‘The Bride of the Water God,’ ‘The Light In Your Eyes,’ ‘Start-Up,’ and ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One.’
While in service, his Disney+ series ‘Vigilante’ began streaming its first season and, later, confirmed its second season.
