The P-pop idol has dropped his new solo music.
On Friday, July 19, SB19 member Justin de Dios released the 7-minute-long music video for the song ‘kaibigan.’
Featured in the music video are actress Nicole Omillio, who recently starred in the theatrical adaptation of ‘One More Chance’ and as Kierra in the TV adaptation of ‘The Rain In España,’ and RJ Cruz of The Juans.
So far, the YouTube upload of the video has garnered more than 230,000 views within 23 hours since it premiered.
The song tackles “unrequited love,” as detailed by Justin himself.
“I wrote this tune from the perspective of an observer and wanderer: a person who enjoys movies with coming-of-age slant,” the SB19 member noted on the music video.
‘kaibigan’ is Justin’s third solo music to be released this year.
It follows his debut song ‘surreal’ on February 29, and his rendition of American band Maroon 5’s 2003 song ‘Sunday Morning’ last April.
Aside from the new track, Justin, together with the rest of SB19 and A’TINs, are celebrating their recent victory from the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2024, where they were named as the ‘Favorite Asian Act’ of the year.
They had beaten in the same category fellow Asian pop acts, led by Korean boy group ENHYPEN and Japanese girl group NiziU.
