“Everyday, celebrate…”

Perhaps, that is the best mood to be in right now for the many Blooms who made this new record of ‘The Nation’s Girl Group’ possible.

Within 20 hours after its premiere on YouTube on Thursday, July 11, the music video for BINI’s newest single ‘Cherry On Top’ instantly made ‘herstory.’

This, as the 2:58-long video became the most-viewed music video in that span of time for any P-pop act after clinching 3 million views in the video-streaming platform.

Four hours later, or at 8:00 pm, the view count was at 3.6 million views, further cementing the earlier record set by Bini.

In terms of the entire Original Pilipino Music (OPM) scene, ‘Cherry On Top’ sits at second place, just behind Moira dela Torre’s ‘Paubaya’ music video.

With this record feat in the P-pop scene, Bini’s music video rose to the top spot of YouTube’s trending video for music list.

Outside of the video-sharing platform, ‘The Nation’s Girl Group’ also got high streaming figures.

On Spotify, ‘Cherry On Top’ became the fastest Bini song to get 1 million streams after its release at 21 hours.

Over at X, formerly known as Twitter, the ‘BINI_CherryOnTop’ tag consistently ranked first in the top trending topics in the Philippines and second globally.

‘Cherry On Top’ also debuted at #1 on iTunes Philippines and iTunes Singapore, while also being able to chart in 10 other countries, according to Star Music.

‘Cherry On Top’ is the group’s follow-up to their massive hits ‘Pantropiko’ and ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ which are part of their extended play ‘Talaarawan’ that was released last March 2024.

Aside from the new track, Blooms will surely rejoice with another good news from Bini.

In a ‘TV Patrol’ interview on Thursday, ABS-CBN Music Head Roxy Liquigan confirmed that Bini is working on two separate albums, with one being aimed at and released for the local market and the other for the international scene.

At the moment, songs for the albums are still in the process of being developed.

While waiting for that, Blooms will expect Bini to remain booked-and-busy, as they are still set to hold regional shows as part of their ‘Biniverse’ concert tour.

They will visit Cebu on Sunday, July 14, and General Santos on the following Saturday, July 20.

After which, Bini will fly off to Canada for the North American leg of the series, before returning to Cubao on October 4 for the ‘Grand Biniverse’ concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
