They will bring all the Olympic action from Paris, France this July.

The Philippines’ largest direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV provider Cignal announced this week that they are the official Philippine broadcaster of the Olympic games anew.

They will be airing and streaming the 2024 Paris Sumner Olympics on its pay TV channels, and on the terrestrial television channels and online platforms of its parent firm, the MVP Group of Companies.

The Olympics will be seen on the Olympic pop-up channels to be set-up by Cignal, free-to-air stations TV5, RPTV, and One Sports, and on the social media pages of Puso Pilipinas and Smart Sports.

PLDT subscribers will also be able to catch the action from Paris through the internet service provider.

Aside from live sporting action this July, Cignal, through a partnership with the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) will also produce a documentary series following the training of our national athletes as they prepare for the Olympic games.

This will also mark the fourth Summer Olympic games  to be presented by the MVP Group to the Filipino viewers.

They have been the local coverors since the London 2012 games, followed by the 2016 Rio de Janeiro games, and the historically-significant Tokyo 2020 games that took place in July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lattermost of which was when the Philippines’ weightlifting champion Hidilyn Diaz brought home the country’s first-ever Gold medal in its 97-year-long participation in the Olympiad.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games will happen from Friday, July 26 until Sunday, August 11 in France.

At the moment, there are already 15 Filipino athletes qualified to participate in the upcoming games, led by the second-timers like World number 2 pole vaulter EJ Obiena, gymnast Carlos Yulo, boxers Eumir Marcial, Carlo Paalam, and Nesthy Petecio.
