The TV personality’s family shared the news on social media.
In a Facebook post, Jhong Florendo, father of ‘It’s Showtime’ host Cianne Dominguez, detailed an incident involving her daughter that transpired Thursday evening.
According to Florendo, an alleged “stalker” of the TV personality followed her as she was heading to her condominium unit in Quezon City.
“The suspect followed my daughter [Cianne] to her condo, forcibly preventing the door to be closed and held her waist, forcing to kiss her.”
“Good thing that my daughter is strong enough to resist and the suspect ran,” Cianne’s father continued.
He also shared that his daughter was able to take “a video footage of him [suspect] as he’s escaping.”
It was then the officer-in-charge at the condominium where the ‘Showtime’ host was staying who was able to help entrap the male suspect, who ran along EDSA.
Florendo also revealed in his Facebook post the alleged assailant is now under the custody of the Quezon City Police District Station 10 and is “facing serious charges.”
Cianne’s father then asked for prayers for his daughter, who he said to have experienced trauma due to the incident.
In a PEP.ph interview, Florendo also added that Dominguez does not personally know Torno and that the latter presented himself as a fan.
At the moment, the other camp has not yet publicly commented about the complaint. Trendrod remains open for their official statement.
Cianne Dominguez has been an ‘It’s Showtime’ mainstay since late 2022 after joining the program’s ‘Sexy Babe’ segment that year.
Aside from being a TV host, she also recently became a recording artist under ABS-CBN Music for her song ‘Traffic,’ which was released last month.
