Big Brother is set to open his doors to a new batch of housemates soon.
Last Friday, April 5, ABS-CBN’s Head of TV Production and Star Magic Laurenti Dyogi announced the return of long-running franchised reality show ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ this June.
Dyogi, who served as the show’s executive producer during its earlier seasons, said that the show will return in “100 days,” which will then be the time when the new set of housemates will be revealed.
“The PBB house will open this June and sa loob ng 100 araw, magkakaroon tayo ng mga bagong batch ng housemates.”
Dyogi also shared that there will be four important on-ground auditions, with the first set to happen from April 27 to 28 in Metro Manila.
The other three are distributed in balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with dates yet to be announced.
Potential housemates should be within the ages of 16 to 32, as per the criterion set by the program.

‘Pinoy Big Brother’ debuted in 2005 amidst the reality and game show frenzy that swept the nation.
During its first season, it became a massive hit due to the novelty of the concept, as well as the controversies that sprung up in the show.
In one instance, then would-be first ‘Big Winner’ Nene Tamayo lambasted Big Brother due to a challenge that involved them burning objects they hold dear.
After the success of the first “regular” series, the program had various editions exclusive to a particular group, such as ‘Celebrity’ and ‘Teens.’
In the past decade, however, these editions have since been fused into one — a practice that began with ‘All In’ in 2014, followed by ‘737’ in 2015, ‘Lucky 7’ in 2016, and most recently, ‘Kumunity’ in 2021.
In August 2023, ABS-CBN announced that half of the current ‘PBB’ house in Quezon City was to be demolished after its lease expired.
Despite that development, the Kapamilya network greenlit another season of the reality show and slated it as part of this year’s line-up of shows during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special in December 2023.
‘Pinoy Big Brother’ season 11 is rumored to still be hosted by the team composed of Bianca Gonzales, Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Melai Cantiveros, and Enchong Dee.
NEW IDOL GROUP
Aside from ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ the ABS-CBN executive also bared plans for a new “idol group,” in the same vein of their current P-pop groups BINI and BGYO.
Those interested to join the audition for the new idol group project must be aged 13 to 25.
