At noon on Tuesday, April 2, tickets for the upcoming ‘BINIverse’ concert of “The Nation’s Girl Group” BINI went on general sale nationwide.
As if in a “karera” (race), BLOOMs were swift to grab their passes for the said event, and in less than two hours, organizer ABS-CBN Events announced that tickets in all four tiers were already sold out.
However, this early, fans have flocked to demand either an additional date or change in venue to accommodate more people.
Currently, it remains to be seen whether their request will be granted.
Set to happen on June 28, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, ‘BINIverse’ will be the very first solo concert headlined by the trending P-pop group.
BINI debuted in June 2021 and is composed of 8 members, namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
Recently, the group reached a new milestone after becoming the most-listened P-pop act in the music streaming platform Spotify.
The sharp increase in the girl group’s listenership comes amidst the sensation caused by their song ‘Pantropiko,’ which also became a viral dance challenge on TikTok.
Last March 8, in time for the International Women’s Day, BINI dropped their first-ever extended play ‘Talaarawan,’ which includes the above-mentioned viral song, as well as five other tracks like ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ and ‘Karera,’ among others.
Together with fellow P-pop act G22, the girl group is representing the Philippines in Chinese music competition program ‘Show It All,’ which will begin airing this month.
