The female group’s popularity is continuing to grow by the day.
On Sunday, all-Filipina pop group BINI made a new record for themselves after becoming the first girl group to reach 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
They are also the second P-pop group to do so, with SB19 being the first-ever band to do so.
BINI’s latest achievement has been driven by the recent sharp rise in the popularity of their song ‘Pantropiko,’ which accumulated more than 7.3 million streams on the platform.
Alongside that track, other songs listed in the Top 5 songs of the group on the music streaming platform are ‘Karera,’ ‘Na Na Na,’ ‘Lagi,’ and ‘Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi.’
BINI debuted in June 2021 and is composed of 8 members, namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
Last Friday, they came back with their first-ever extended play (EP) titled ‘Talaarawan.’
The EP features six tracks, which include their previous singles ‘Karera’ and ‘Pantropiko,’ plus four new songs: ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ ‘Ang Huling Cha Cha,’ ‘Diyan Ka Lang,’ and ‘Na Na Nandito Lang.’
Aside from their first EP, BINI is also set to mark their third anniversary since their 2021 debut with a concert on June 28, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
