Viewers of the Kapuso network will have a different daytime experience starting tomorrow.
TAPE’s noontime show ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ officially bade farewell today, marking the end of the Jalosjos-led production company’s stronghold on GMA’s noontime slot after 29 years.
It is also historical of sorts for channel 7 as it will be the first time in 49 years that it is left without a permanent fixture at its prime noontime slot.
In response to the cancelation of the noontime variety show, the Kapuso network will be making temporary adjustments while waiting for a permanent replacement show.
These changes will take into effect on the main linear television channel starting tomorrow, March 8, 2024.

From Monday to Friday, GMA viewers will continue to see ‘Tiktoclock’ at its usual slot at 11:15 am.

Top-rating afternoon prime series ‘Abot-Kamay na Pangarap’ will be seen at an earlier time from Monday to Friday at 2:00 pm, and will run for a full-hour each weekday.

UNTIL WHEN?
These changes will be effective until GMA has chosen or developed a new program that will fill its noontime slot.
According to the grapevine, the network might announce the official replacement show for ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ between the last week of March or early April.
Among the reported options for the prized noontime slot of the Kapuso Network are: a revamped ‘Tiktoclock,’ ‘It’s Showtime’ which woul have to move over from GTV, a GMA comeback for ‘Wowowin,’ a new show from TAPE, and even a whole new variety show built from scratch.
GMA, however, did not mention anything regarding its future plans for its noontime slot in its official statement that was released earlier today.
Meanwhile, for viewers using the Kapuso Stream web-based channel on YouTube, reruns of past GMA dramas are expected to take the slot that will be occupied by movie blocks.
