Online viewers will soon witness the Kapamilya news channel’s live stream.
ANC, or the ABS-CBN News Channel, recently unveiled one of its future plans ahead of Sky Cable’s closure on February 27.
Currently, the channel broadcasts on Sky Cable’s channels 27 (SD) and 182 (HD) in Metro Manila, but it will soon make the linear television platform available in 200 pay TV operators nationwide.
ANC will also bring news and information online, as its content will be uploaded on Facebook and X, among other platforms, and articles on the ABS-CBN News website and app.
On YouTube, the news network’s subscribers will have the capability of signing up for its ‘ANC Prestige’ channel membership program.
ANC Prestige, which will cost Php 99 per month, will allow its members to ‘watch ANC’s live stream, get behind-the-scene photos, exclusive videos, badges, and emojis,’ the news network’s teaser revealed.
The Prestige service marks the pivot of the country’s oldest English news channel, as it has been a cable-exclusive channel for most of its run.
Although, sometime in the late 2010s, ANC once ventured into live streaming via the iWant app, only to terminate it when the app transitioned to iWantTFC in 2020.
However, full episodes of ANC shows and newscasts are still available on iWantTFC.
Apart from the mentioned platforms, ANC is also accessible for viewers abroad via The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Flagship ANC primetime newscast ‘The World Tonight’ is also aired weeknights on the Kapamilya Channel.
