The channel began its operations on Tuesday.
Ths People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTNI) and the House of Representatives jointly unveiled their newest collaboration in ‘Congress TV’ on Monday, January 22.
The said channel will have its airtime devoted to airing Congressional proceedings, such as sessions at the Plenary and committee hearings.
Speaking about the new station, House Speaker Martin Romualdez said that “CongressTV is our commitment to ensuring that no Filipino is left in the dark, that every citizen is afforded a front-row seat to the legislative process.”
“Through this platform, we are tearing down the walls that have long kept the inner workings of the legislature away from public scrutiny,” he added.
Congress TV airs daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
CTV is available as a digital free TV subchannel of PTV, which is on channel 14 in Mega Manila. It is also on-air via digital TV boxes like GMA Affordabox and ABS-CBN TVplus.
It will also be on digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
