The Korean athlete has gained considerable attention on social media.
South Korean gymnast Kan Hyeon Bae created a huge buzz online this week, as photos from his previous photo shoots were uploaded on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The said post has since garnered more than 1 million views and 12 thousand likes on the platform, and has triggered multiple succeeding posts of Kan’s other photos.
The 22-year-old athlete instantly made users gush and compliment his contrasting features as seen in his photos, which many suggest to be his boyish face and athletic torso.
Others have also noted that he shares resemblance with some Korean pop idols, such as THE BOYZ’s Sangyeon and RIIZE member Sohee.
While he has attacted a lot of attention in social media these past few days, Kan is no stranger to going viral online.
Last year, he went viral after doing his cover of BLACKPINK Jisoo’s song ‘Flower’.
To date, that video has garnered 3 million views on Instagram and another 100 thousand on TikTok.
Thanks to his ever-growing social media presence, Hyeon Bae also made it to the top 10 list of “male celebrities popular among the South Korean gay community” in 2022 and 2023.
