The café chain will be moving to a new space in the area.
Mary Grace Café, a popular café chain in the Philippines, recently bade farewell to its flagship store at Greenbelt 2 in Makati City.
In a post on their social media account, Mary Grace shared that their decision to close down the store comes as the mall will undergo a renovation soon.
But they will not be completely out of the area, as the café moves to nearby Greenbelt 5 for their customers within the vicinity of the mall.
They also said thanks “to everyone who came through our doors in our first flagship cafe. It was an absolute honor having you spend time with us.”
“To our cafe team and to the many cafe leaders who sprung from the challenge of Gb2, hats off to you and thanks for the many years of friendship,” Mary Grace said on their social media page.
Mary Grace first opened in Greenbelt 2 back in 2011. The store, which was their seventh, was also the biggest in their portfolio for a time.
As of 2024, they have over 130 kiosks and stores nationwide.
The closure of Mary Grace at Greenbelt 2 comes as the related news of the redevelopment of nearby Greenbelt 1 mall as mixed-use commercial and residential space first floated in 2023.
To this date, however, Ayala Malls — owner of the Greenbelt shopping center — has not yet publicly disclosed their plans for Greenbelt 1.
