The video has garnered more than 10 million views.
On Wednesday, December 27, actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi uploaded on her YouTube channel her collaboration with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes.
In the first part of the near-22 minute-long video, the actresses began by doing a “mukbang Q&A (question and answer),” where Marian and Ivana shared their personal views on matters close to their home — such as acting and family life.
However, just as the question on whether they would work together on a movie or TV show popped up, matters took a turn for the “worse.”
Initially, Ivana joked that when she gets the chance to star alongside Marian, she will be on set days ahead of schedule.
This is when Marian “remembers” that she got irritated prior to the start of the shoot, as Ivana came late.
“Bakit late ka kanina,” Marian asked Ivana.
Ivana was then visibly shocked by the sudden change of mood, as Marian continued asking around about the vlogger’s demeanor on her other projects like ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
She explained that her “late arrival” was due to her brother taking the loo for long, despite her efforts to prepare hours ahead.
“Next time, maaga na po ako,” Ivana tried to diffuse the situation.
Only to be quickly answered by Marian: “Hindi, wala nang next time.”
Ivana then started becoming emotional with Marian “storming off the set” and “ordering the shoot to stop.”
After that sequence, it was revealed that it was actually Ivana’s sister Mona Alawi who orchestrated it all.
Through a video call with Marian, Mona gave points on how things will unfold.
She also specifically asked that the prank be something that will make Ivana cry, as that is their “love language.”
Apart from Mona, the accomplices include their brother Hash and Ivana’s manager Perry Lansingan.
The set-up then continued on the day of the shoot, as Ivana’s handler underscored that Marian doesn’t like people who do not arrive on schedule.
Back to the prank, immediately after “walking out,” Marian did not hold the secret any longer as Ivana began crying.
Rivera went back to give Alawi a hug and revealed that what occurred was only a prank.
Aside from that, Marian also gave Ivana a kiss on the cheek, as well as a birthday cake for the latter’s birthday last December 25.
After all, Marian also assured Ivana that she also did not come late.
The vlog instantly became viral across social media platforms, garnering 10 million views within two days.
Ivana is currently seen on TV via the primetime action drama ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
Menawhile, Marian and real-life beau Dingdong Dantes stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Rewind,’ which has breached more than Php 200 million in the box office since it began its theatrical run last December 25.
