The member has launched her own label.
On Sunday, December 24, Jennie Kim of the popular South Korean girl group BLACKPINK shared an update regarding her career plans.
The 27-year-old pop star has established her own label named OddAtelier or OA, which will handle her solo activities moving forward.
According to the company’s Instagram page, OA “is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected.”
It also added that it was officially established by Jennie last month, in November 2023.
The announcement of OddAtelier comes weeks after YG Entertainment disclosed that it had reached a contract renewal with Jennie, along with the other members of BLACKPINK.
YG, however, only said that the new contract covers the group’s activities and did not share if they will continue to manage their respective solo activities.
Jennie entered showbusiness in 2016 when she debuted as part of the quartet BLACKPINK.
In 2018, she successfully ventured into a solo music career upon the release of her song titled “SOLO.”
Aside from being a singer, she is also forged her path in the fashion industry, recently collaborating with an apparel brand for a campaign and collection.
