“That’s 20 milli-ANNE!”
Last weekend, actress-TV host Anne Curtis broke new ground as she became the first-ever Filipina celebrity to reach 20 million followers on Instagram.
Anne, who was on a trip to Los Angeles, California, thanked her followers through a post on the platform.
“20 million of you here my dearest IG fam! What a way to end this LA tour. Big kisses to all of you!!… Sending love and light to everyone. Happy Sunday indeed.”
She ended her caption with a witty hashtag of ’20 milli-ANNE’.
The said feat is the second for Anne this year. The ‘It’s Showtime’ host had also set a milestone on another social media platform, X (formerly Twitter) last August.
This, as she became the second Filipino artist to reach 15 million followers on the said platform, only next to fellow ‘Showtime’ host and her ‘sisterette’ Vice Ganda.
Back to Instagram, another Filipina star in Kathryn Bernardo is poised to become the next local showbiz figure to reach the milestone. Currently, she has 19.8 million followers — which tremendously increased in recent days following the announcement of her break-up with Daniel Padilla.
