The idol is currently on a break.
On Wednesday, November 22, South Korean entertainment agency SM Entertainment delivered the news that Seunghan, a member of RIIZE, is on hiatus.
According to SM’s official statement, Seunghan is pausing his activities to reflect on his past actions which he is “apologetic” about towards the team and members, and fans. This, as issues regarding his personal life circulated on social media and online forums.
Due to that, Seunghan was said to have shared his intention to step out of the limelight indefinitely for the sake of the team. With that, RIIZE will promote as six members in the foreseeable future.
Moreover, SM clarified that the videos circulating were “taken during Seunghan’s days as a trainee prior to debut.” Those were then repackaged allegedly by individuals with malicious intent to defame the artist.
SM also said that they will be filing cases against those who were on top of spreading the malicious posts, and will do so “without settlement or leniency.”
Seunghan, along with the other six members of RIIZE, made their debut in September 2023. Since then, they have released hit songs like ‘Get A Guitar,’ ‘Talk Saxy,’ ‘Memories,’ and ‘Siren’.
